Barkot Weather: Generally pleasant in summer, temperature ranges from 25–30°C. In winter, days are cool and nights cold, ranging from 10°C to 5°C.
Early morning after packed breakfast, drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti. Start trek to Yamunotri (6kms) by walk / horse / doli (own cost). After bathing in Jamunabai Kund’s warm water and Darshan of Yamunaji, return to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Barkot.
Yamunotri Temple: Built in the 19th Century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur. Rebuilt multiple times after destruction. Pilgrims cook rice in Tapt Kund and take it home as “Prasad.”
Surya Kund: A hot spring near the temple, used for cooking prasad.
Divya Shila: A sacred rock pillar worshipped before entering the temple.
Yamunotri Weather: In summer, temperatures range from 10°C to 18°C. Days are pleasantly cool; nights are cold.

Uttarkashi Weather: Hot in summer (30–35°C), but nights are pleasant. Cold in winters.
Early morning (with packed breakfast), drive to Gangotri. Enroute, take a holy dip in Garam Kund at Gangnani. Proceed via beautiful Harsil Valley. On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred Bhagirathi River, perform pooja and Darshan, then relax in the surroundings. Return to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay.
Gangotri Weather: Summer temperatures max at 20°C, min at 10°C. Light woolens recommended. Winter is severe with heavy snowfall; the temple is closed in this season.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh, the ‘place of sages,’ is a spiritual town on the banks of the Ganga, surrounded by the Shivalik range. It’s said that God appeared here to Raibhya Rishi as “Hrishikesh.” Check in to hotel. Later visit Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla. Overnight stay at Haridwar.
